HISTORY

The Church

The Church is a beautiful building built in a hotch-potch of styles over the last 500 years. It has stunning stained glass, five (or is it seven?) fonts, a pulpit, lectern, and carved oaken stalls for the choir. Consequently, it always looks lovely at night by candlelight, is favoured for weddings, and costs a fortune to run. The oldest bits are a side chapel and the tower. Six bells hang here and are still rung on a weekly basis, one of the six is getting on for 500 years old and still as tuneful as ever a bell can be.
