Parents Challenge Cup Tournament 2004

For the second season, the club held a tournament for teams of parents of our players and eight of our nine teams were represented. On Saturday 5th June, the teams of parents made fools of themselves in front of their families playing in this end-of-season fun competition.

Fitness levels were as poor as last year, and after playing three group games, the semi-finalists were the under 11s, the under 14s, the Under 9s and the under 8s (last years winners).

The under 14s came through the first semi, which went to a penalty shootout, and met the under 8s in the final.

Penalty Shoutout

Although the U14s tried their best, the under 8s scored the goals and won 2-0. They hold the trophy for another year, probably their last. Thanks are due to Shaun Davies who organised the event and to St Joseph's Primary school who let us use their school field. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.
