2005 Parents Challenge Cup

The third annual parents 7-a-side competition was held on 11th June at Brindle Gregson Lane Primary School.  Seven of our teams were represented by parents.  The sun shone and players and spectators alike had a great afternoon.

After group games and semifinals, the final was contested between the Under 10s and under 7s.  It looked like the under 10s were going to win 1-0 but the under 7s equalised in the very last seconds.  Penalties decided the game and the U7s won.

This is the third year running that manager Kevin Fisher was on the winning team! Well done to everyone for a sporting contest which also raised over £100 for club funds. I think some fathers could benefit from some extra fitness training! Thank you to the two organisers, Craig Davies and Howard Bee, and to the Headteacher and Governors of the School for allowing us to play there.
